Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. The music she grew up with was traditional and old boleros, along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana loves tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began to learn how to play the piano and sing at an early age with her mother. She was given more formal training in singing at the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. Following her move into America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she moved to southern California. She is currently performing the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. The love she has for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps active in community projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly for the young generation in keeping the music vibrant.
