Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian that has been in the business for quite a while. Born in Kildare, Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. Bea was on the show with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March, 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. After playing bits in a variety of Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea started her career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. In 2012, she began being featured in sketch comedy programs or sitcoms as well as other similar shows. Following her win at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was invited to appear on a number of panel shows. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's one of the most popular contestants on its sister show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian O'Sullivan, she is the mother of one sister called Sinead. In 2012, she was the second woman ever to win the So You Think You Are Funny award. Her surname honors the memory of her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Bea's father Brian passed away when he was just three years old. He was a horse vet. Bea wasn't told the particulars of his death to death until she was 13 years old. The stage name she chose was Bea as a tribute to her father and she wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the suicide of her family members. Bea and her sister Sinead, were raised with Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) an ex-jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. The family was horse and race meeting obsessed. Bea began her career as a tour-guide for the Irish National Stud. However, she realized early on that racing wasn't the right fit for her.
